As an aggressive player, I have been taught a couple of important lessons while gambling over the years. It does not matter if you are partial to gambling at the ‘bricks and mortar’ type or the many net casinos. Here are my golden rules of betting, most of which may be looked at as clear thinking, but if accepted they will help you go a long way to leaving with a sense of enjoyment.

Rule one: Go into a casino with a set number that you are ready and can manage to spend – How much would it cost for a night out on food, alcoholic beverages, cover fees and tips? This is a good value to use.

Rule two: Don’t carry your debit card out with you – or any way of getting money out. Do not worry about money for the cab if you burn it all; most cab operators, in particular the taxis booked through casinos, will take you to your home and will be more than happy to wait for the cash when you get back.

Rule 3: Stick to your predetermined cutoff. I constantly think of what I would want to purchase should I profit. The last time I went, I concluded I’d quite like to buy a new digital camera which cost around $400, so that was my upper cutoff. As soon as I reached this number, I stopped. Just quit. Even if Mystic Megan herself gives you the upcoming number for the roulette wheel, ignore her and walk away. Depart Secure in the knowledge that you will certainly be going into the mall and acquiring a nice brand-new toy!

Rule 4: Have a good time. When you are "buzzing" you will succeed. It’s a certainty. I don’t know why, but it clearly is. As soon as it turns into a job, or you are only gambling to acquire a profit you have lost, you will give up even more. When you are succeeding, having a great time with your mates, or your boyfriend, you will certainly win even more.
